In the beginning...

Back in the day, we were all cool. At least in our own mind and right. Now we have to get others put together as well as ourselves and I constantly struggle with how to do this and am guessing I am not alone. As an avid buyer of crap, my family's recent move overseas has helped to tame the beast that was created by "accessible" fashion. Not that I don't love a good Tar-jay find, but I was relying on too many of them and find that I had a bunch of junk in my closet and nothing of worth. Please don't take this as a no Tar-jay message, but as a word to the wise of how to mix pieces sensibly. Join me on my journey as I learn how to do this!

Due to our recent move and the majority of my wardrobe sitting in customs, combined with being in a very fashion heavy city, I am trying to figure out how to make my current box of what I thought was 3 weeks of clothing last over 3 months while adding some peices without breaking the bank in the city of high end stores.

I, like most, think I have nothing to wear and think I have worn everything out. But tonight I was reminded by a friend that they haven't seen the same thing twice. This has been a conscious effort, not to mention the beginning of a HUGE closet makeover spurred on by the move. When told I could only bring 2 suitcases and send 1 small box and that may need to last 5 months until the rest arrives, I made some great and some gave choices.

Join me as I navigate the waters of trying to look chic, but daytime effortless/nighttime fabulous, all on a minimal budget of money and packing space.
